The blue grass state of Kentucky has become synonymous with one thing- a fast food franchise. The name alone will bring thoughts of juicy and crisp chicken waiting to be eaten by you. Who wouldn’t want to have a bite off something that delicious? Surely you yourself have enjoyed this fried chicken at some time or another. Surprisingly there are other things that you will find you can eat in Kentucky.

Although it may not seem to be in the same line, this state that has become popular along with the fried chicken also produces seafood delicacies. You will find that they have caviar, shrimp and even lobster. These are available in supermarkets packed and are even exported to other places. The subtropical climate that Kentucky has is what has made it possible for them, to produce these things.

You will find that Kentucky has a lot of interesting food to offer. One of which is burgoo. This can be described as a stew of a variety of meats. Usually three or more kinds of meats are used in this dish to which vegetables are added and it is simmered down. It may sound normal but what makes this dish stand out is that it is cooked until everything is broken down. It is cooked in large quantities so it’s not unusual to see folks at cookouts standing over pots of these using rakes to stir it.

There are many other interesting food offerings that you will find in Kentucky. One of the best places that you can discover these are at the craft fairs and festivals. You will be sure to come across something that is home made and has a special touch to it. There are numerous fairs and festivals which you can visit throughout the year.

A craft fair in Kentucky can always bring so many interesting things. It can also be a good way to make money.
