But, probably the best option today is the third, finding a host that will also allow you to create a page within their system. There are many considerations when creating a site. Hosting is relatively inexpensive and many companies that offer you the opportunity to have a site hosted by them will also have protocol to assist you in creating the site and holding the files you put on the site. They will offer you email options, storage space and one other important thing, SEO or Search Engine Optimization. This is so important because it allows you to jump to the top of the search engine so people will see your site.

So, what is your page going to look like. You want people to see your site and know what its purpose is and realize that your are a professional. There are quite a few variation of sites and, therefore, many different looks and feels. If the purpose of your site is retail, wholesale or any kind of sale, you will need an ecommerce site. If you just want to share information, you can create a weblog or blog as they are known for short. You can do a site within a site on a social network like Facebook, Twitter or MySpace. And, you can do a purely informational site that directs people to a brick and mortar business.

But, the question was asked, is is worth it to go for cheap web design? I think the answer is yes. Certainly, you can opt for more expensive but when you can get a very professional, quality, beautiful site for relatively little money, why waste?
