It seems like getting the website updated is hard work. The in-house Webmaster does not seem to want to do them quickly or else it takes a very long time to get one, simple change done. If the work is not done right, then you are paying for them to do the work again the right way. If you have the work done out of house and it is not completed correctly, then the website design firm that did the work must correct it for free.

Giving the work to someone that is not an expert at doing website maintenance work can take longer. They may not be familiar with how to do the update and all the things that need to be tested and done. Someone that does this kind of work for a living will more easily be able to go into the website, make the changes, do testing and then be done.
