This free keyword tool will show you the approximate number of searches in the past month and the avereage number of searches per month over the last year. You can also see the approximate per click rate advertisers are paying for your keyword.

Another great keyword tool you’ll want to visit is SEO Book. This keyword tool pulls statistics for each keyword from various sources and search engines. You can drill down and find even more hidden niches with this tool. Try this tool the next time you need more in-depth statistics for your keyword list.

Another free keyword tool that many marketers have been using for years is WordTracker. The best I can remember, it was one of the first programs on the market to help Internet Marketers discover hidden keywords that search engine users were using to find products and services. WordTracker comes in both a paid and free versions. Beginners will find the free version quite adequate for their needs.

One of my favorite downloadable keyword research tools is one called Good Keywords. This company puts out some other very ingenius keyword research tools. One advantage of using Good Keywords is that it will also return how many misspellings a keyword has. If you’re not targeting misspellings, you are leaving some money on the table!

WordPot is yet another free keyword research tool you’ll want to look at. This is a web based program that helps people find keywords. It has several valuable features such as the ability to see synonyms, related words to the keyword you’re using and even associated words that relate to the keyword you using. Some alternate keywords can bring in as much, if not more, traffic than the main keyword.

With a little practice, keyword research is a breeze. The more you practice, the better you’ll become at finding those long tailed keywords and keyword phrases that will make you money.
